Kong ported 2.9 (for now lol).

This tank was stealth but obviously not anymore.

You and I have pretty much the same builds except for my ported 2.65. We'll dyno it this week after the Big Gulp arrives. Actually, I'd like to dyno it now with the 4" CAI and then with Big Gulp to measure any improvement.

The OEM Gen 6 Lt4 short block is forged, so I wonder if yours is custom built?

Yes, forged pistons with LT4-level compression and forged rods on factory LT1 crank. Mast Motorsports Black Label LT1 heads and CamMotion custom ground cam. Johnson 2110R lifters, extreme duty intake valves and inconel exhaust valves.

You will need to tune for the 5" intake before making a dyno pull.

I am thinking of tuning for the current 4" setup, dynoing, then installing Big Gulp and repeating. Are you saying, why bother tuning for the 4" dyno?

He’s saying the 5” tube will drastically alter your MAF scale. It’s a good amount of tuning to make the BG work. You can’t just dyno on the 4” tube, slap on the 5” one and make a pull. And that we’re slightly off topic…

LOL, every thread at this site eventually goes off topic. In your case, your sig has a bunch of mods, and the tank is a mod, so, we're still on the topic of mods.

So just as an update I emailed Weapon X my list of design & quality issues with their tank setup, and how it cost me nearly double what it should have to install this kit. Their response was (boiled dowm): “Gee, sorry, we never realized any of that!”… Awesome.

I just bought a Billet direct inlet coolant manifold and Big Gulp from them and assumed they're just a broker or middleman, if you will, who probably doesn't investigate each part they sell.

They actually make some of that stuff themselves (like your coolant manifold). The ice tank was their design & build.

What engineer designed this without testing it oit first ?
Tank being lower than the IC is unforgivable

I saw a prototype of an ice tank that goes on top of radiator. A shop designed it.
Also had tubing that prevented ice chips from getting stuck in the tubing

Dumb question:

Say you're using this and temperatures freeze over night.
What if the water freezes and cracks the piping, etc ?

Or will you just empty it out before end of fall

Car is not driven in cold weather. My wife would say I don’t actually drive it at all. It sits in a heated & air conditioned garage.
