I have to say it is either the funnest car I've ever driven or I've been out of the game too long. When driving the 1le in touring mode it very comparable to the other SS's but when you switch to Track mode and the steering turns to like manual steering, the suspension stiffens up and the exhaust starts to scream is like being on a track all day long. Abiding all street laws of course.
Ah man, that's a nice list! The '67.... man that's like, my favorite. An SRT-8 would be rad too. Could it even compare to the 1LE, though?

The Chevelle is a different breed being totally stock matching numbers, no power steering, has drum brakes, but that 396, 4 Spd, with a 12 bolt. The Challenger SRT8 was a 2010 which was a 6.1. Drove like a cadillac but can't touch the Gen 6's. Here they are side by side.

I've swapped cars way more than most. When I get a performance car that doesn't quite suit me I flip it. But I tend to buy good so I have room to move them if needed. I've sold many a new car after a year generally costing less than $5K. Cars I like I keep. But 80% I flip in 1-3 years. Jury is out on the SS vert but I like it way more than 3 vettes I flipped within a few years or less!! So we shall see !!

Mines not forsale, but I'm making mine a bad boy for far less then a Zl1 by far. I can autocross and drag race and still have under 50k and no additional payments. I'll have it paid off in 2 years not 5 or 6. I'm good to go and really not worried about any warranty, so bring your zl1, 1le or z28, whatever and lets race, well at the track. Hey, just razzing ya, just buy what you want or can afford and enjoy it as long as its a Camaro or Corvette, no ****ing stangs.

Haha.... Now that's what I'm talking about. I'm going to selling my Chevelle because of recent back issues which made me buy a car I don't have to work on every time I drive it. Don't get me wrong I love the fact that I actually know somewhat what I'm going on the 67. But I'm going to take all that cash and just poor it into the Camaro. And then drive west to get some track time on ya. Lol. 👍

As much as I want a ZL1 vert I just cannot justify spending $75-$80k on a car that will sit 355+ days a year in my garage. Can I afford it yes but my kids are too young to enjoy car shows so it would be just me and it's not fair for them or the wife to stay at home while I enjoy driving the ZL1, plus all 6 of us cannot fit into the ZL1.
that's why once the kids & spouse are asleep, you gotta sneak out onto I-Drive with the top down & enjoy that great Florida air, with the Magic Kingdom fireworks lighting your way!

I was almost one of those trading in early. I wanted to upgrade to the SS2 but I couldnt justify +$5k hit.

Only reason I could ever imagine trading in one of these would be for a 4x4 truck

I've gone through a lot of cars in the last ten years but am leaning towards adding a second car once I'm further down the payment trail on this one. It's cool to me that I own a fifty year anniversary car of a classic like the Camaro. Might have to hold onto that for a while.
