I keep up the infrastructure that runs sites like this one... If it lives in a Data Center rack, I know how to run it.

By education, I'm a Cisco/Microsoft Network Engineer -- but, by trade, I do pretty much everything but hardcore programming.

I've done all that, plus telephony, monitoring, deskside hardware, xDSL technology (home side from the NID to computer) and the ISP side in the routers, web hosting, forums, game server admins, custom systems, etc.

The bad thing about all of that is that I really don't excited about the "next new thing" -- I just see it as the next logical step.

Poker dealer for nearly 10 years, with a one year stint as a supervisor. (Supervisor was a huge pay cut ironically enough.)

It's not glamorous, and when people hear that you work for tips they automatically assume that you're poor.

BUT!

I love dealing with people, and watching/playing Poker. I have met some awesome people. Somtimes it's a grind, but at the end of the day the bills are paid, the car gets modded (slowly) the kids have a nice house to live in and all the goodies they need to qualify as spoiled.
