I went into buy one of the two red models and came away trying to decide Hyper Blue vs Summit White. I love the look of that Kalahari interior in Hyper Blue, but the Adrenalin Red inside with the Red Rally stripes outside on Summit White were just a powerful combo.

I know I will see several Summit White convertibles, some may even have Red Rally stripes - so I think my differences will be in the more features than the exterior. I loaded up on the interior features. I figured I could augment the exterior later if I wanted.

That third item is a new one for me. I would have thought that would have been taken care of prior to 2017 models rolling down the production line. We will all be watching closely. We don't need the bean counters ruining our June!

Hey y'all,

I haven't been posting much here, but I have been keeping up with reading. Looks like I'm also in the 3400 crowd. I'm sorry if I've missed this part, but has anyone gone and checked previous Summer's to see how long (on average) a new model year takes to ship out after production? I know that the 2-week shutdown is normal, so wouldn't comparing to previous first runs of new model years help us determine a ballpark as to when we can expect these to reach us?

First, let me preface this by saying I don't believe you should be trying to judge this run's time off of my 2010 order; so this is probably more for entertainment purposes.

Here is a link to a thread I started back in 2009 chronicling my 2010 order status (complete with train times). For anyone wondering where the train times came from, at that time we could call the train company and request location data on the rail car. I'm pretty sure you can't do that now.

My car was built around this time in 2009. Who knows, maybe it will be close to this?

I'm actually going up to Becky to get mine. All mine needs is a hauler from Lansing to Woodhaven, 1.5 hour drive, once it ships that is.
