In order to properly install these parts on the LT1, apart from pictures, how useful / relevant do you think it would be, to make use of the ZL1 / CTS-V OE GM Workshop manual? Are any modifications / relocation of the stock LT1 wire harnesses, coolant elements, sensors, Etc. necessary, or is it pretty much a "plug & play" experience? Tune: Would you be able to at least provide a file (that can be uploaded with an SCT, Diablo, Etc.) that you know from experience with these builds, that would be one that works well to a ~ 95% success rate for most of such upgrades, eliminating the necessity to dyno tune? |

This is exactly the route I'd like to take to get to the next step with my car. I'd really enjoy working on the install myself, even if it takes several days or more. An out-of-the-box tune would be great, but one just good enough so I could limp to the dyno shop is sufficient (can I just remove the drive belt for this purpose?)
The system is plenty for my daily driver, and the compact OEM look is a bonus in my book. If someone did an install thread (as has been done for some other systems) I don't think I could resist. |

I think you can just wire open the bypass valve to run on the stock tune after install and drive gently. I've been following a guy on FB who just completed his and is awaiting his tune.

But there must be a file that should already work well for 95% of the requirements. If this setup has been tuned on a couple of LT1 engines before, then this should be good enough. Fine tuning at a later stage (Dyno or Street) logging I.E. with HP tuners would then be the "icing on the cake"

So what about a good base file that can get most of the people installing this setup going on the road safely? Before going to further fine-tune it...

What if you already own HP tuners from past vehicles? I mean I dont really want to buy it twice...
