This is a good price for that set+installation. $1200 out of pocket after rebate?
I try to keep the tires under $1000. And I have a local shop which will do mount/balance/dispose for $25/tire. That's cheap.

What about summer performance? I'm in CA so no need for A/S. I was looking at ps4s, but theyre also around 1600 at costco. I was hoping to spend closer to 1k for a non track duty tire.

Niche market for summer performance tires, so you end up paying a premium. Bummer.

What sucks is for the sizes we need, you are going to spend at least $1500 for a decent summer tire.

I too am in California and generally run summer tires on my cars, but this time I switched it up to the A/S. I daily the car and regularly drive from San Diego to Yuma and sometimes in the mountains on the 8, there is light snow.

I also wanted tires that will last a little longer, lol. Spending $2k on tires every six months is not fun.

I recently bought Continental DWS06+ from TireRack. Comes with 2 years road hazard free, they weren’t running any promotion when I bought but might be some other time. Discount Tire will be the exact same price but their road hazard warranty is not included, it’s a few hundred bucks per tire added on and 3 years instead of 2 from Tire Rack. Tire Rack has you fill out a form and you’ll probably be down at least a week before you get a new tire, but it’s ‘free’. While Discount is probably the best tire hazard out there, bought their warranty on other cars and they’d get you a brand new tire installed no charge, if they don’t have that specific then you choose which one as long as it’s same or less price. Can split the difference as well

OEM SS 1LE sizes (285/30/20 & 305/30/20)
$596 Fronts
$784 Rears

$1,360 Total
$112 Tax

$1,472 Order Total

Shipped to my local Discount Tire who charged $126 install. Took my old tires so saved on disposal and sold them on Facebook for $290 ($130 rears ~3/32 & $160 fronts ~4.5/32 both late 22/early 23 date codes).

$1,598 Installed (not including -$290 in old tire sales)

Bought/installed end of September this year

Looked at PS4s but cheapest I was getting was a good $400 more after everything. It’s a daily car, I’ll get PS4s when I actually use the car it’s meant to be used lol

Just picked up some Firehawk Indy 500's. 245/40/20 F 275/35/20 R $1300 and change otd.

They like to be warm is my only complaint compared to the RF Goodyear EagleF1 A3's which gripped no matter the temp. The Firehawks are very grippy when warmed up.

Probably go with Conti Extreme Sports 2's next time as I have experience with the Sport 1's and they were fantastic on my old Z. Was trying to save some money this go around and went with the Firehawks.

The sizes I am using is 275/35/20 285/35 20
We have a convertible so the 305/315's aren't needed.
