I know it's not exactly apples-to-apples, but I run the 1405 and 1718 size pads on my SS 1LE in the Z26 compound for street use, and I find them perfectly acceptable for street use and the low dust is fantastic. Once they bed-in the initial bite is only slightly less than stock, which I prefer as I found the stock Ferodo's a bit grabby for the street.

I'm wondering if the poster above had an install error, on top of using the wrong pad size for the ZL1 rotor. The pad faces are all rusty, which doesn't make any sense for this pad compound.

Considering how much I like the Z26's for the street, to me it's a no-brainer I'll buy them again down the road when they need replacement.

I took the picture today, they have been sitting under my workbench for over a year. Pretty humid here in South FL. LOL

Thinking the rust is spent iron from the rotor transfer.

I'm hoping that the "recipe" changed for the 2017 ZL1. Remember I'm posting on past experience from my 5th gen ZL1. Maybe the 17 would be better, If I see good reviews I will get a new set.
Loved the no dust part...
Hated the stopping distance.

I was wrong in assuming that the rears were the same as the Z06 iron brakes though, the ZL1 rear pad has more height to it than the Z06 rear pads do. It LOOKS like the Z26-1053 is the pad to get for the rears on the ZL1 but I won't know until later this week when they show up.
Glad to see they fit, I am going to order a set today

i bought powerstops for my commuter car and their rotors are junk. So im skeptical about their pads. 2 different cars and 2 different types of brakes but still. never heard of powerstop until i bought them last year. Are they even a well known company?

I wish there was a solution to brake dust, It seems like there are 2 options. 1. lots of dust and good braking, 2. low dust and ok braking. My friend put well known brand low dust pads on his c7 corvette and said they sucked when pushing the car. He rarely pushes his car so thats probably a worth it for him. He's a waxer type.

More into show than go....

What was junk about them. I had their rotors and ceramic pads on my 2008 z06 and never had a problem

Rotors warped in like 2 or 3 months. 90% Of my driving is on highway. Just look at the cost of them compared to other brands. Junk.

Use hawks in my 5th gen, definitely less dust and still great stopping although I wouldn't track them.

I have Power Stop rotors and pads on both my truck and SUV, and they've not only eliminated my dust problems, but improved the stopping power compared to the stock parts that were on them. I've had them on our SUV for going on 2 years and on the truck for about 6 months. Nothing but good to say about them so far.

Of course those are both daily street driven. They may not perform as well on a road course. Can't say. I think they should do fine for what I'd mostly be using them for, which is street driving and occasional drag stripping. I'd venture to say they'd even do good for most auto x events, since you make a quick lap around a short course, then park for a bit.

Interested to hear everyone's thoughts that try them. I know I hate all the brake dust I'm currently dealing with on the Z.
