Ugh reason I have an SS Camaro and not my 15 Z51 is due to 2 blown motors. I was hoping to stay away from this problem

I made a decision on this car to do no performance mods and your situation gives me no reason to re-think that, . I performance modded my gen 5 big time and learned the "pay to play" lesson with a major engine failure and no warranty to fall back on except my own piggy bank. I'm OK with that lesson learned as I was fully aware of what I was getting into. So be it but not this car. Once burnt - twice shy!
exactly! thats what i'm saying here. You want more horsepower in your camaro? save and trade in for a zl1.

Subscribing... hoping to learn what the root cause is because I am thinking about doing a full bolt on soon and this worries me unless it's just a one off thing.

Dam, I was just gathering up enough courage to get a canned tune and possibly a CAI. Obviously the OP has done a few burn outs, but who hasn't. I guess another year stock and dealing with that AFM crap.

a game changer? Why? Its been known for literally decades that if you modify you void.

i bet your f'd, hope not, but like they say, wait till after the warranty b4 modding unless you dont care about the warranty.

good luck.

455hp is fast period. Okay mr. tough guy behind the computer?

I agree adding bolt-ons that do little to nothing arent worth the risk but I don't understand the hostility What people do with their cars is their business. People will always mod camaros and mustangs.
Also, what is considered fast is subjective.

This is why I'm so happy I chose the dealer I did. They're totally into the racing scene. I just called and asked if i'd have any warranty issues with the upgrades I'm working on (coil overs, sway bars, catch can and cai). They said NOPE. not as long as I keep taking it to them.

Chose your dealers wisely!

What concerns me most is the mileage. This one can't as easily be blamed on a manufacturing defect.
