I have one technical aspect to add: If it deletes the cam phasing, you can expect a narrowing of the torque band.

Is phasing the same as VVT?

Cam Phasing is used for EGR and to extend the range of a pea shooter cam.

If the cam it right there is very little if anything to be gained with phasing.

We found that phasing with aftermarket cams in this engine is unstable and unpredictable not a desirable situation.
