THOSE are impressive numbers. Im seeing these Procharger systems, and as easy an install as they are, the #s just dont impress me much. Congrats man!

Maybe I missed it, but did you do this install yourself? Im curious how much more difficult it is to install than the Procharger setup. I cant find many images of the ACTUAL KIT to get an idea. Any info would be appreciated!

Edelbrock requires a certified mechanic to do the install for warranty coverage and with the dealer doing the install, I'm covered. I also have too many other projects on the table right now and I knew if I didn't have it done, I would procrastinate and never get it installed in a timely manner. If you do the install yourself, just have a certified mechanic sign off your work if you want the warranty... or just don't worry about it As for the ease of install compared to a Procharger, I can only guess that the Procharger would be a little easier, but not by much. If you can change out a manifold and a radiator, you can install the E-force. I have the installation manual and after reviewing it, I feel I could have easily done it myself. Go to Hotrod.com and search for their project 2016 Camaro. They have a detailed video on unboxing an E-force kit. I will say this setup is solid. It does what Edelbrock say it will do and is one of the best DDs I've ever owned. Much better than my turbo vehicles. Last edited by Atomic Ed; 06-20-2016 at 12:03 PM. |

Buy some drag radials and you'll be in the 10's as one of our other members is. He has a Heartbeat and ran 10.81@128 or so. Bad ass and have fun.

But I may take another shot at it when I get my new wheels and tires. I'll take the old rims, mount some DRs and give it a try. One of my neighbors used to drag race, so I'll see if he can give me some lessons. |

Any idea on how much timing? Have you made any datalogs?

Not quite sure what you are asking about timing.
When we did the dyno run we were watching the knock sensor and even given the hot day, the knock sensors were only getting an occasional hit, but not enough to trigger timing pull. As for logging, I have no specific log of the timing curves. One thing I'll be looking into is heat removal. Better/bigger radiator fan, lower thermostat, insulator gaskets between the SC and the heads, etc. This area where I live is basically a desert and I fight heat more the cold weather. That said, its running just fine the way it is. |

Thanks for pointing me to this thread. I'd be curious of a data log of a 4th gear pull as well. Does the tuner they provided to install the tune allow data logging? Should be pretty easy if so.
Your AFR looks to be 12.3 - 12.5? Was that measured at the tail pipe or pre catalytic converter? On the HEMI we tune to 11.3 - 11.5 AFR on stock motors and 11.5 - 11.8 on forged engines, so 12.5 seems lean to me, but if it's post CAT then it's reading a bit leaner than actual due to the cats. Nice power on 6psi for sure. 10s all day at the track. |

Speedy,
The AFRs were measured at the tailpipe. As per the tuner, 12.5 at the tail is good for a DI system, given the cooling effect of the DI itself. It seems Edelbrock agrees with them. Otherwise, yes, a lower AFR would be appropriate. On the Texas mile LT1 Corvette (1000rwhp) they sponsor, that's roughly the AFR they use also. The Kit comes with an SCT tuner that allows data logging. Let me know what you want logged and I go do a pull, but most likely a second or third gear pull. Kinda busy right now, so it may be a while. |
