I believe Chevy/GM did a great job with the 1LE. It is a better package than the 5th Gen. 1LE and it should be a hell of a track car. But... I am going to wait for the 6th Gen. ZL1 to make it's appearance. It will take a lot for me to give up my ZL1 and although this 1LE is a hell of a car, I am going to be patient and wait a while longer.

Car and Driver estimated $3500 I believe based on some premonition sorcery. Chevy just jacked my world up. I was intentionally stalling my purchase in hopes of this 1LE announcement. Wow, I really like it. The absolute only thing I'm not sure of is if I could give up the heated/vented seats. My current car has me very spoiled with those, and especially in Southern Louisiana those vented seats make a HUGE difference in the summer. I like the feeling of the 5th gen Recaros though. Everything else is perfect. Love the wheels, upgraded brakes, better MRC, NPP, stock roofline, and even the satin hood. I heard it was to reduce sun glare on the hood. Seems like it makes sense. Plus, I was going to get a manual anyway. And if that price is fairly correct it's hard to pass up. Those seats are the only thing keeping me from a hell yes right now. I'd probably still go with black, but that green is wicked looking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Some people think GM wants the masses to want the 1LE, and they don't. It is for the 2% of buyers that want a track focused car, and that means 3 pedals.

Track focused automatics are hit or miss with sales and a critical hit when it comes to problems. Ford doesn't even offer automatics in anything above GT because they fell flat on their face in sales the few times they did. There are fewer and fewer people driving manuals each year though, so it's bound to change.
I'm going to call my dealer to today to see if I can switch over to this. I really want all those features. Are you guys sure the comp seats aren't vented? The recaros in the last gen cts-v used to be. Are the Brembo's 6 piston all around? Just about everything here we'll be able to add to our cars down the road. Also, is there a 2SS 1LE?

no need for 6 piston in the rear, it would throw off the balance...

The Brembo brakes are 6-piston monobloc front clamping two-piece "iron disk/aluminum hat" rotors, and 4-piston monobloc rear calipers. (They're mammoth...it's been a while since I had it, but they look bigger than my old ZL1's brakes. (could just be my eyes and the red color playing tricks) There is no 2SS 1LE. But the 1LE package includes some 2SS features, like HUD and leather rear seats. Not to mention, add unnecessary unsprung weight. |

I want one. Although I don't have unlimited money unfortunately. I will be waiting a while before my next Camaro purchase.
