I will do the same with a custom tune some weeks after.

I hope to have more than 5whp.

Just kidding. Let us know how it goes, but not on this thread. You are off topic. Start your own CAI thread. I think there will be interest.

So that I don't have to read all of these. What Cai had best results? I don't understand really what I am looking at.

Sorry

Thanks. I am just waiting to see what the Gm one does before I make a decision. That difference is a no tuned motor right?

He did test with a tune, but gains were the same with or without when running the Roto-fab CAI. I might add also that we have 5 or more 3rd party dyno sheets showing gains from 11-14 HP, so we could conservatively say that we have seen gains ranging from 6-14 HP!

Thanks again to Ted and JRE for testing our system.

I expect it will run with no tune but you will not get full advantage until you custom tune for it.

Would you see some good gains if you have a ported throttle body then add a CAI?

or just ad a K & N drop in filter or a green drop in filter?

Gains are very hard to come by with intake only mods.

Nothing with a drop in filter.

Start with LT headers and exhaust for the most power available from bolt ons.

in a nutshell... if you were to add ARH 1 7/8 LT W CATS, MSD ATOMIC AND ROTOFAB DRY. 460 RWHP 446 RWTQ

Peak to Peak gains 31 RWHP 11 RWTQ

$2300 for headers, $1200 for MSD, $400 for the CAI. $3900 for parts and I'm sure it's at least $500 to install the headers. Not sure how much a custom tune is.

Seems like a lot of cash for 31HP. or did I miss something?

Agreed, when you are starting with an engine that is highly tuned from the factory HP is not easy to come by like in previous generations.

This is why I recommend to start with LT headers and exhaust, Most bang for the buck, then recommend superchargers again most bang for the buck.

You still need the supporting Mods before the cam will work properly.

And Cam upgrades on these cars are almost double the previous generation.
