That, and the Mustang had technology to add. The 5th gen Camaro was a finished product - the only thing to do now is downsize it. I'm sure it'll lose at least 100lbs. Even the CTS model for model lost about 200.

The CTS-VSport Premium is 39xx, yeah. Hell, even the AWD CTS Premium is 39xx. The 2013 CTS Premium AWD was 41xx (about 4200). Curb weights, if I remember them correctly. And again, with twin turbos (and associated hardware) and an 8 speed thrown in. Though, the CTS is a luxury sedan, so I would expect minimal weight changes from it due to advancing technology. Merely an example.

those holes in the trunk make me think the padding is 2" higher than the actual trunk. Or the trunk top is two inches lower than the padding.

I think more than likely all these published "spy shots" are coordinated events and they (GM) don't want the audio/ video published yet.
