No issues that I'm aware of, road racing of course would be the worst case scenario but I don't do any of that. I spoke with Vengeance Racing about this package extensively before installing it, they told me that they have customers that do it all, drag, roll and road course and their packages haven't had any issues or customer complaints. I'm mostly a Mexico highway racer and the car performs wonderfully.

What’s the average cost of TCM tune. I know it’s 200 to have hp unlock it. How many credits does it take? Tuners cost?

So on a Mustang Dyno with a 6th gear pull my final numbers are 688 RWHP and 635 RWTQ. Keep in mind, this same setup on a Dynojet on a 6th gear pull made 745 RWHP and 710 RWTQ. So the numbers seem consistent with the differences between a Dynojet and a Mustang Dyno. I have a few more mods in store and it will need to be retuned after that so I'll see what numbers I get in the future.
Oh and this is on 93 octane...14 gallons of 91 octane mixed with 5 gallons of C10 (100 octane). So I am right where I suspected I would be for a Mustang Dyno. |

And yea they don't call them "heartbreaker" dynos for nothing, lol!! I knew this going in so I wasn't expecting world shaking numbers. But I'd be lying if I said that part of me still wanted to see 700s, lol. The tuner told me that he typically sees a 12% lower number than what you will see on a Dynojet. So that translates to what I have...more like a 9% difference for me. On a Dynojet and with a 7th gear pull I am more like 770s. Anyway this session was more for fine tuning since the original tune had some things that needed to be worked out. The car is now driving like it should be and that is more important than seeing a higher number. I will try to find a shop that has a Dynojet to get it dynoed again to see if my numbers are consistent. And I am curious to see what your numbers come out to after it is built and tuned. |
