SMH, guys, I think the trolls have finally snapped. I think we finally broke them into insanity. Anyway back to business as usual.

What I find funny is that all these guys will be out buying into the hype thinking they all can do a 12 flat and we're not gonna see them pull it off. And it'll be interesting to see MT and C&D's take on the GT when they can't duplicate these hero runs we've been seeing. It's gonna be fun for sure. Again, mid 12s with the SS being faster in the quarter. On the track the GT won't be able to hang at all. Clean sweep for the SS. When the PP2 hits the floors it'll lose in like fashion to the 1LE. Ford doesn't have anything to contend with. And getting rid of the Shelby will mean all they'll have is a GT with PP2. Unless they pull out some bullshit special model to fill the gap until the GT500 comes out. Which might not be in this Generation anyway. Sucks to be on the blue oval side of things.

Face it bro, it is a 12 second car. All the denial and excuses you can think up won't make it any faster than what we've seen. These are pros on rented tracks with unlimited resources. If it could do 11s then they would have done it by now. The SS did 11s right out the bat as you clearly already know. What has the GT done? 12s, 12.3 with DRs, excuses, and nothing even remotely impressive.

Could you point me to this statement. I did a little back check and here is what I found within the main forum. First 6th Gens delivered around 11/7/15. First fast pass 12/5/15 12:04 stock, 11:90 on DRs. The next fast pass I found was on 2/15/2016 11:98 stock.

Maybe I missed some passes?

for me speed means very little.

have ford sorted out the humgous list of issues that the s550 pos has..can the thing be driven safely above 90mph without the hood trying to fly off..can the pos even hold a straight line above 90..

i doubt it at all..another smoke and m mirrors utter pos car like all other fords.

Seems it took 3 months for a stock SS to get in the 11's then. You have your time frame now, lets see if the '18 Mustang can match that. Time is ticking.

I don't need to. What I drive (or don't drive) has no bearing on the questions I asked him. Do you not understand all of this came from a line of questions I had for him originally? He immediately deflected the question as he is obviously too embarrassed to answer. As it stands, his ZL1 is 1/2 second slower than a lightly modded MY18GT.

I pose the same question to you. Why is what I drive or what I look like important to a question about a MY18GT and ZL1? I have already stated that I own neither. Would you like to know my blood type and shoe size as well?

It's always been like this. You have to remember one thing. Mustang fanboys have been waiting years for this car to come out. So, they were already on edge filled full of excitement.

The first ever video of the '18 gets posted. It's a modded hero run with driver mod and now all of a sudden, the new GT is a Zl1 slayer.

So, in typical Mustang fanboy fashion, they go from 0-100, no pun intended, in like 2 seconds. They now believe with a tune and some tires, us of those with Zl1's and Z06's better watch out. They do it every time a new Mustang comes out.

I'm going to drudge through my videos and find last year me running........."a stock GT" in my LMR 750 Z06. He called me out saying he could roll race me. I was like, um...........okay, I'll entertain you this time. The results were..........well. You can figure it out. But anyhow, it was a Mustang fan boy who thought that since he had a "GT" he ruled the streets. I'm surprised he wasn't out calling out UGR that night.

Anyhow, I've put the trolls on block and moved on and had my fun. I will admit tho, the GT in gray looks pretty damn good. I like the new design actually. If they come out with a Super Snake or GT500, I'll entertain purchasing one. Unless I buy a Zr1 first.

Because for the average person running a good time in real life doesn't happen all that often. You won't even say if you own a Mustang or a Chally or whatever. IF Lund ran an 11.3 with only E85 drag pack and no air filter (not sure I believe that) then ok great. YOU probably cant take that car and do it.

Personally I'm skeptical of any of these runs by pro tuners. Especially the "tune only" runs. Since we have no other source to go by at this time all of these times are unofficial at best.

But you don't have a time. Or any of these cars you troll about. I suspect you want one and from time to time troll both the Camaro and Mustang forums.

I’m curious, what makes a time “official”?

And if I have already stated I own neither of these cars, what does what I own make any difference as to what a MY18GT or a ZL1 can or can’t do? No one has yet been able to answer this question. Hell, you all have moderators in here that don’t own a 6th gen.

What I will tell you is I have owned a variety of cars, several of which were mid 10 second vehicles (~130mph). But again, they weren’t any of the cars in question…so it makes no difference in this conversation.

As for what the “average person” is or isn’t able to do…I’ll agree with you. The average person is going to be slower than the fastest…that is always the case. How much is yet to be seen, but a lot of that greatly depends on how easy these cars are to launch.

In regards to you being skeptical…I’m ok with that too. But there is a difference between being skeptical and downright dismissive. Would you admit, running 10.31 @ 124mph (which does equate to being third on the ZL1 fast list) is impressive for a MY18GT with a tune and tires? If you’re answer is no to this (perhaps because there have been tune/tire SS running similar times), what does this say about the ZL1?

So now to be equal the Camaro and the Mustang must have shitty drivers?

Also, the first 2018 run was a stock Mustang that they simply played around with tire pressure settings. That's considered stock on any credible website that isn't filled with people concealing their 13.35 ZL1 run.

C'mon they have documented the process every step of the way with dyno data and an interview explaining the steps , but we can't believe them? How do we accept any slip or video presented by some random person on the internet then?

This is exactly like 2010 all over again..where the Gen 5 guys were all comfortable and puffed up being utterly and undeniably dominant over the 2010 Mustang GT and the Challenger R/T..that when the 2011 Mustang with the 5.0 came out suddenly it was scrambling to claim "we're basically equal" like a cat trying to hide a turd on a marble floor.

A time is official when run by 3rd party tests with instruments or at a NHRA or similar governing body sanctioned event.

If what Lund is saying is true then yes I'm impressed at their e85 tune. To use your comparison, how fast would Blaq's ZL1 be on e85 and drag pack? Faster than 11.3?
