the ticking noise most refer to eminates from the fron wheels, but you may have another noise.

The Ediff makes no noise. Its definitely noise from the front wheels. See my posts about fixing the issue with anti seize on the mating surfaces.

I created a fix thread. I haven't had the noise return since.

Mine had it at 1200mi...it was just loose lug nuts and I noticed the locking lugs in particular were looser than the rest. A little umph on the lug wrench later and she's quiet

Update: No more clicking/ticking. Dealer followed service bulletin on this issue. Interestingly, other GM vehicles do this too. I saw one was the Buick Enclave. I don't imagine those are driven quite the same as ours...LOL

I took my car in before my first trackday and had the dealer do the service bulletin as well. No ticking to report of!

I am currently having the same issue. I took it to the dealer and they told me I needed a new differential. Confused, I let them (it's under warranty so I didn't have to pay for anything). As I left the dealership I heard the noise. I hear it when driving straight as well as turning; definitely speed dependent. Going to try to tighten the lug nuts today.

Finally some benefits from losing your hearing as you go up in age.
Keep on Clicking...

Just this weekend I started hearing the clicking/ticking from the front wheel area. Almost 4k miles on mine. I've had my wheels off my car several times now for general detailing/cleaning, caliper painting efforts and now at almost 4k miles the clicking/ticking starts???? I always torque the nuts to spec. wonder if those with aftermarket wheels have the ticking/clicking.

I think Clicking is just a thing to live with Two piece rotors, you can minimize it but GT350, GT3 RS, and C7 Z06 at autox I went to this weekend had some level of corner ticking from brakes. Clean the surfaces and I do two stages 75ft/lb then 140ft/lb sometimes it ticks and other times its quiet.

Has nothing to do with proper torque. I torqued mine properly and still had clicking. Next time you have them off rub a little anti seize on the mating surfaces specifically around the hub. No need to overdo it a little dab will smear most of the surfaces. I made a thread about this fix. Frankly I wish they would sticky it so people could find it easier.

This is the common misconception from most who choose to not fix it but I'm telling you its not the rotors. My fix in the thread linked above has lasted now for about 10k miles of daily driving AutoX, track day, and most recently a hard run up the Tail of the Dragon. Still not a bit of clicking has returned. Very simple fix and I have yet to hear anyone try it who said the clicking returned. However the dealer TSB only cleans the hubs and once the surface corrosion returns so does the clicking. My fix prevents the corrosion from returning.
