Exactly, I'd been following this thread but didn't chime in until someone asked if they would fit a ZL1 1LE....

I'm guessing that they would need the shims up front with any aggressive camber on a non-1LE ZL1.

Guys, what other further information are you seeking? The question has already been answered.

Camber (est) 1.5 or less the front fits.
Camber great than 1.5 the front does not fit without a spacer.
The rear wheel has no issues.

So, if you are looking to use these on the street with minimal camber they should be fine, if you are looking to use these on the track where you will need at least -2*, then you will need a spacer. Again, this is for the regular ZL1 (or SS) with mag ride.

I guess my last question is I will run no camber changes and 305 19s in front and 325 19s in back with no issues?

were you able to run the setup you mentioned with the R7's? I have one track day under my belt with my ZL1 1LE and need tires/wheels for next one. i ran -1.5 all around since i drive two hours to the track. just wondering how your day turned out and your experience with that setup...and where i might find some 14 z28 wheels...

thanks!

The Z/28 wheels and the Hoosier R7's were fantastic at RoadAmerica last weekend!

Worked great. The R7's are great tires for these cars, and the Z/28 wheels worked perfect (and most think they look better on our ZL1's than the OEM wheels....me included).

I'll try to get something more detailed posted this week. Back at RA next weekend for round two!

I have a 2018 ZL1 1LE and trying to determine if I acquire a set of the OEM 5thGen Z28 wheels which set will be the best for the track. I already swapped out the stock GYF1R3 tires for a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport for daily driving -VERY HAPPY with them on the stock wheel.

Did you try the aggressive camber set up on the 2018 ZL1 1LE with your R7's and the OEM 5thGen Z28 wheels?

What size R7's where you using?
What alignment setting did you use with the Z28 wheels and R7's?
Thanks

See my post below on the size comparisons and the fitment onsets.

The Z/28 wheels are exactly the same fitment as the front ZL1 1LE, and only .5" more narrow on the rear, but you can still mount 325 Hoosiers on them. They work great.

To respond to the Camber questions, I simply used the Track Camber setting for -2.7 on the fronts and got great wear on the front Hoosiers. Very even wear. Actually perfect.

To respond to the Hoosier R7 tire size questions:

315/30/19 Front
325/30/19 Rear

At the Badger Bimmers Event @ RoadAmerica a couple weeks ago one of the instructors walked by and said "It should be illegal to put that much rubber under a car." Loved it.....

This might help too.....below are pics showing the width of the Hoosier R7's mounted on the Z/28 wheels vs. the Goodyear 3R's mounted on the ZL1 1LE wheels.

The 315 Hoosiers are about 3/8" wider than the 305 Goodyears on the front.

The 325 Hoosiers are about 3/8" more narrow than the 325 Goodyears on the back.

Hope that all helps you guys with your wheel/tire/camber Q's.

I'm going back at it @ RoadAmerica this weekend.....if the weather forecast changes. Looks pretty wet right now.
