I vote for the 4th gen 1998 to 2002 LS1 equipped F body. To me that truly is the end of the pure muscle car. LS1 6-speed Hurst shifter and crank windows. Absolutely no nannies in the stripper models. 100% human controlled 100% of the time. And they were pretty damn reliable. Not a big fan of them being called the catfish I have heard it before no worse than what people are saying about our 6th gens guess.
I've also owned the 5th and the 6th gen. But I truly believe the 2002 Camaro was the end of an era |

Its a tie between 1st and 6th, then 70-73 on 2nd, then 5th. No desire for any Camaro outside of that as they were too dumbed downed in performance and in some cases styling.

I have to do the 93-97 (specifically 96-97 SS). Just something about the 96-97 SS did it for me.

I like them all and would have one or two of each generation if possible.
Hard to provide a ranking. Bottom in this list would be the mid life crisis of the second gen. Don't see any reason to own a 74-77 when the 78-81 looked better and the 70-73 looked and performed better. 6th, 5th, and 1st would be top three in no particular order.

Loved my 01 Z/28 had the most fun over any of the generations I have had. Don't get me wrong my 5th and my now 6th are great cars but something about the 4th gen it seemed we had far more participation with the 4th, then the 5th went crazy for the 1st 3 years.

The get sorted from time to time. Sometimes my IROC is my favorite, sometimes it's my least favorite. Sometimes my '17 is my favorite, then I get stuck backing out of a space and it's my least favorite. Sometimes my '14 is my 2nd favorite, sometimes it's my 3rd favorite. My '80 was fun and beautiful but a slug. My '82 was almost as much of a slug but with 45 fewer cubes. My '88 was among my favorite cars I've ever owned but still crap materials and leaky T-roof. My '10 I actually cried driving the 3 hours to trade it in, even though it was a V6. Loved that thing too.
Can't decide. Won't decide. I love em all.
