I know people have asked for VIN decoders. Is there one that will tell you what options the car came with. I see a couple that include options (EX: https://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/Chevrolet) but they all seem to list available options and not necessarily what the car came with.
Unless each car came with every color car cover and protection package. ![]() I'm specifically searching 2017/18 ZL1's if that makes a difference. Trying to see which ones have PDRs, sunroof, Navigation, etc... Thanks in advance.

Autotrader and cars.com let you drill down pretty far into the cars options. I tried to find a vin decoder a few years ago when I was searching for a different car and couldn't find anything that was worth looking at.

Thank you for the reply. I was actually looking for a VIN decoder to compare against what is listed on CARS.com. I've found CARS.com to be spotty on their accuracy and now they've reformatted the "Features" section so it's harder to figure out what the car has. May just not be anything out there. I appreciate the reply though. |

as far as I know there is not one that will do what you want.
My thoughts are that the vin should be traceable to the vehicles history and build but apparently nothing available to the public will pull anything other than basic information.

Unfortunately the VIN doesn't give that much information. That's where you need a copy of the build sheet.

A VIN is not designed to give you the build sheet for the vehicle. There are some cars with thousands of options and it variable across makes and models. I doubt the Camaro has a registry anywhere like the Corvette.
