Electrical Mayhem
So I was driving today and I went to go pass this guy and as I was passing him I heard a loud noise and experienced a loss of power for around 2 seconds and my headlights blinked. I figured wow, wtf fell off so I pull into the next stop and looked under the car to see what had fellen off. I didnt see a thing, everything looks fine so I turn around to go see if anything fell off in the road. I get there and there wasnt anything as a drove past it. I drive for around another 2.5 miles and get to a red light. I stop, the light turns green, I try and go and experience another loss of power and the lights flickering along with the car constantly locking and unlocking. I said shit now I gotta go home real quick, I gain power again and leave the spot im at as soon as its safe. I drive about .5 miles and the lights flicker again another .5 miles and the whole thing freaks out lights flashing locking unlocking, 0 power and then everything goes black and I pretty much roll off to the side of the road.Try to start it and the car is completely dead. yada yada. After looking over the situation and trying to figure it out for around 40 minutes. I look under the hood and notice that the negative ground is quite loose( I disconnected it and apparently didnt tighten it as much as I had thought). I tighten everything down and disconnect the negative terminal on the battery for like 20 minutes plug it back in and it still wont start so I jump the car with my kit I carry and the car runs fine now maybe it idles a little low. I drive it home testing the car out and all seems normal. I get home, turn the car off and on, wait then off and on again. Everything seems fine. I took another car back to that road I was on when the original sound happened and found a wine bottle with the neck snapped off(the road was also very bumpy), can it be that the bumpy road paired with possibly running over a wine bottle neck can cause a bump that for whatever reason got that negative ground just that much further from the metal and cause all these problems? Can a loose ground(jump point in the front of the car) cause all that? I have videos if asked to post I will. Also can anything have gotten damaged?
