LesBaer and I have had this conversation for ages now haha. I would definitely say he isn't BSing. We've tested many things before coming to what his current setup is. Ted @ JRE also had a lot of good input as well. One thing to add though is when he did his setup ZL1 did not exists, as in... The tires on the ZL1 definitely were not available and went with PSS which is a good choice. But I would personally go with the ZL1 tire setup and not with PSS. Goodyear did a damn good job with our tires and PSS while fantastic tires are just overhyped (I've been using PSS's for 8 years). For just a maggy setup and not 700+, ZL1 tire setup will be more than enough for you. As for the wheels, it's all about your budget for them.
