Window Fogging fix done???

Has anyone had the window fogging fix done and can say it definitely worked? I read a couple post that said they had the dealer remove the foam but the window is still fogging up because the door still isn't fully closing.

That's not really an option in south alabama where the heat index is in triple digits. GM is offering a fix I was just wondering if anyone has had it done yet.

Well if it doesn't fix it, then we can take them back again, if not fixed on the 3rd time them we can get refunds on our cars using the lemon law.

Its obvious to me the system was designed to keep the windows clear in the winter regardless of what setting the vent controls are on.

I took a piece of rubber baseboard molding from home depot and made a block off for the center defrost vent.... worked great but actually caused another issue..... the extra air decided to come out the side window defrost vents which promptly caused both side windows to condense to the point my side view mirrors were completely useless!
Also it would not dry up when underway like the front does so i had to keep rolling the windows down and back up to wipe the condensation off. Just a big mess.

So.... if one block off is good three must be better!

I used some of the same rubber and made block offs for the side window defrost vents and now its all good. Stronger air velocity from the round dash vents and much, much better from the floor vents, Definitely makes my vented seats feel a lot cooler!

I will remove the block offs once winter gets here

Bottom line is i dont think the "fix" GM has is worth doing as that air will find another place to get out that IMO is just as bad if not worse.

My car is at the dealer right now getting the fix. My front windshield got destroyed with only 1,500 miles on the car. I figured since my windshield is getting changed I may as well do the fix while it's out. I'll let y'all know the verdict in a few days.

If I were thinking about having this done, I'd wait to see what a couple of the other guys that are having his done think afterwards.

Picked my car up from the dealer yesterday and the window fogged up on the drive home. I can still feel the air coming out of the defrost vent on the dash on any setting. Guess the door still isn't fully closing. I will say that it may be a little better but still not completely fixed.
