forward push during braking
Not sure whereI should post this as I cant determine if its a brake or tranny issue. When coming to a stop the car seems to lurch forward right before I come to a complete stop. When braking hard from higher speeds it almost feels like I have been hit from behind. Anyone else feel this or have an explanation for it?

A8 or M6 transmission? I believe the computer automatically downshifts the A8 during braking under certain circumstances to help slow the car down.

Yep, its the downshift from 2nd to 1st assuming you have the A8, totally normal in this car from what I've seen.

Its an A8. Uncomfortable at times, seems like just as I am easing off the brake for a smooth stop it lurches forward.

I've noticed the same thing. Sometimes I'll shift into neutral before it stops completely.
