Power stop ceramic pads

Has anyone heard if Powerstop is going to make the ceramic pads for the front brakes . I have installed the rear z26 1718 and they have made a big difference in the amount of brake dust. For those that didn't know, the ZL1 front rotors are .8 inch larger than the c7z06 iron rotors. So the z26 1405 don't fit

I have had these sitting on my work bench now for a week or two, hope to have some time tomorrow or Monday to put them on and see if they actually work.

I had them on my 5th gen ZL1.
They should be taken off the market for safety reasons, no bite, no stopping power.
BUT, no dust, LOL

EBC reds helped the dust

Not yet, I only used them on my 5th gen. I'm sure they will make them for the 6th gen zl1.

Well that's just not true, I can put it into the ABS very easily when stopping with these pads on both the 17 ZL1 and the 16 Z06. It just won't do it over and over like the stock pads will. A brake pad is a compromise, more dust = better stopping power and less dust = less stopping power. These pads as far as I'm concerned are a great daily driver pad and I still have the stock pads ready to go for a track event since it takes all of 30 minutes to do all 4 corners.

Also just to confirm the Z26-1835 pads ARE the correct front pad for the ZL1s. It measures identically in all dimensions and I just got done installing and bedding them and they work great.

I was wrong in assuming that the rears were the same as the Z06 iron brakes though, the ZL1 rear pad has more height to it than the Z06 rear pads do. It LOOKS like the Z26-1053 is the pad to get for the rears on the ZL1 but I won't know until later this week when they show up.

Just be aware that while those pads will fit in the caliper and work they are technically not the same height as the factory pads. They are a bit shorter in height than the stock pads and have less swept area.

Don't want you guys to think I'm trolling, below are the pics from the PS pads I removed after about 2 weeks of use. No bite, No nothing. The EBC reds were hands down much better but more dust then the PS. Maybe a bad batch who knows, LOL. This post reminded me to throw them out. LOL

My opinion
-Bobby

No bite, no nothing, sounds like a serious problem and is not normal at all.

Again a brake pad is a compromise so either accept more dust for more stopping power or get less dust with less stopping power.

Well it's not a problem on mine so I doubt it will be a problem on yours, just don't expect it to perform like the stock pads do which put out 10x the amount dust.
