Protection from Head Light Haze?
What is the general opinion regarding head light haze prevention?
If I apply some of the clear Head Light Sealer/Sun block finish coating I have to my 2017 Camaro head lights, would that potentially delay or possibly even prevent head light hazing? The product I'm talking about is a clear sealer with sun block that is applied after a hazed head light has been completely restored. It is supposed to help protect the refinished head light and keep it looking crystal clear. I'd like to hear any thoughts? Also, does anyone recommend a specific brand of head light sealer? Thank you! |

Surprised no one responded to this. I've been using blackfire, 'cause can't hurt. but I remember someone on here had some clear plastic inserts that could be placed over the plastic to protect from scratches (which I think is the major source of hazing).
Haven't hard it long enough to tell if it's going to work. If the hazing is mostly oxidation, then the blackfire should help a lot. If it's damage from road dirt, it probably won't help at all.

I use bigworm' s tint film on my headlights, no sealant/coating is going to stop a rock or road debris.

Similarly, I had Clear Bra applied to it when I got the rest of my front done. Do it on every car I have.

Whenever I do a headlight restoration job, I've used Wolfgang Plastik Sealant. Always given me good results.
Although most traditional sealants will do a pretty solid job of protecting the plastic. http://www.autogeek.net/plastik-surface-sealant.html |

I just applied this stuff to my 2SS and a new set of lights I installed on my Dodge Ram. It will be 6 months to a year to see if it works.
