So I've just been informed that the tunes required for these intakes are supposed to be billed to GM and NOT to the customer.

Whoa now, I have no facts to back that up, that was just my best guess based on the info you provided.

No, no. That's not from you. It's from a moderator on this site.

Has anyone been able to obtain any gain numbers from the GMPP CAI? Anyone has this installed & has feedback on performance?

BTW - as far as available in Canada, my local (Ontario) dealership has this intake on their online accessories catalog (installed price, in CAD$), so certainly appears that it's available here.

From the catalog:
"Add an element of performance-oriented style to your Camaro with this Performance Air Intake. It looks great under the hood and includes a reusable open-element air filter, a sealed compartment and all necessary installation hardware. For 2.0L Turbo four cylinder engine (LTG). Performance Air Intake. For use with LS/LT models with 2.0L Turbo four cylinder engine (LTG)" - PN 84242613

Fellow Ontario LTG owner! nice to see you on here. As far as I know the CAI through GM is not available yet. HP gains would be minimal unless tuned. If you want to add some audible turbo noises to your ride then it is worth it.

Which dealership would be interested in looking at it. I looked it up on gmpartsdirect and it pulls up a "cleaner kit" just wanted to compare.

So, with all the confusion with the V8 intake, hopefully the launch of the turbo intake will go a lot smoother. So, who's gonna pull the trigger?

Not that I know of, but i can't imagine it being too much longer. Hopefully GMpartsguy chimes in with some news. I'm very happy with my ZZP silicone tube with stock box, but who knows, I may give it a try once a few people have got their hands on it.

With any luck, the included tune will be more in line with the old 2.0T EcoTec upgrade (260-340 hp) or the Ford Racing setup for the EcoBoost Mustang; rather than some unspecified, but likely 5-10 hp jump....

I don't think this will be any significant gain by itself, but rather best if used in conjunction with other supporting mods. I'm not crazy that it is an open top setup.
