I could be wrong but I'm retty sure my non-1LE owners manual has the same track oil addendum. At any rate, I know the oil requirements for every normal SS used on a track are the exact same as the 1LE (Dexos2 certified) since it uses the exact same oil coolers and engine. So I would say that oil talk would be better in another sub.

Only the 1LE's and ZL1's get the extra manual... And I disagree, as then it gets lost...we in here like to have other 1LE owners opinions. Many don't traffic other sections since that was what this section was supposed to be for... Furthermore, if this section is going to be torn apart on a daily basis, and any thread that may not 100% pertain to the 1LE moved, why bother even having this section? Just for the "hey I got a 1LE" threads? No thanks...I really liked this section as it was. Last edited by SS 1LE; 05-30-2017 at 06:21 PM. |

![]() The LT 1LE cars are welcome here, all track experiences are a welcome addition. My swing.. Z/28 could be renamed ZL1 1LE, GT-4, & Future Z/28 for now, or add Z/28 when one appears. |

Extra manual yes, but all cars have the 3 page track driving info. Aside from the e diff info, it's similar to the performance supplement. I'm on both side of this issue because I do a lot of 1LE type things with my lowly SS, but I also do see some un necessary threads in the 1LE section that others can/will/do benefit from that may never venture into this specific sub forum.

I think the 1 LE folks have the highest percentage of track junkies. I think the threads started here probably should stay here. And my guess is, that the non-1LE folks looking to track their camaro's will come here to seek out info as well. After I found this sub group, I traded my 2SS in for a 1LE. LOL

My two cents, it is a unique configuration bought by hard core owners who use their cars and do worry about others topics (not saying they are not important)...
We bought them to hammer on, learn to be better drivers, try different venues. This is the first car I actually have to do nothing to improve upon.... it is better than my driving skills and level, it will force me to push and be better (and keep me safe) want to try auto next.... my neighbour works for Ford and still cannot believe the car... Gm left nothing on the table, an amazing and unique car... Again, my two cents... regardless we are all lucky, 20 years ago if you told me this car would exist, would not have believed you... Tim |

Well the first track prep thread is more 1LE related than in general. Couldn't even read the first two sentences of the other so that likely belongs anywhere. |

After reading all of this, the case is being made for there not being a 1LE forum at all.

I just visit this section. My interest is in what track specific information is out there such as alignment, tires, brakes, etc. I would like to be able to find it in one basic spot. Thank you for having a forum with specific models especially with a popular car like a Camaro. I have spent years on Lotus forums when I owned them and there is model differentiation amongst a brand that hasn't anywhere near the number of cars, like every Lotus ever made doesn't add up to one year of Camaro production! |

Adding one more to the many voices... leave it alone! The 1LE section has a more track/performance oriented discussion vs the non-1LE folks, not that there's anything wrong with that. No reason to fix something that's not broken...

It's 1LE discrimination, rumor is some ZL1-owning mod was mad about the recent Motor Trend comments.
