Really the 1LE crowd has it's own following and really it's mostly around the original 1LE. It's always been that way and hard to add two more models to the mix as either one of those two will just get lost with the majority of discussion being around the SS.

A ZL1-1LE section wouldn't be near as active as this section is and so much of that car is ZL1 specific that IMO it's fine mixed in with ZL1. The question is what do do with Z/28 and the LT-1LE.

Some users have never created a thread anywhere, but this section just because that's the car they own without regard to what it's about. I too like my own personal forum section with one place to go to all the time but we need to keep everyone across the board included. Then when threads go dormant it needs to be searchable in the correct section. That's not to say many of these things don't fit in 1LE, they just might be better suited elsewhere. Such as detailing, (unless it's the hood) or Road Track items. Lot's of examples both ways but no need to debate that, lets make it better.

I think maybe some re-naming is in order now that the Z/28 isn't coming. Also, the ZL1-1LE would seem to be out of place in this section. It's now mixed up in the ZL1 section which right now seems like a better fit. Maybe break-out LT as well. Happy to hear any suggestions to make it better.

The problem wasn't moving generic threads, the problem was that like 10+ 1LE specific threads were moved. There is no reason to put a eLSD or PTM related thread in the regular sections. All that does is confuse some non 1LE owners, and then it gets missed by actual 1LE owners. It was in my opinion overall, working just fine. Now a large part of the active 1LE community is unhappy with things as evidenced by this thread.

For starters, if you don't want ZL1 1LE info in here, rename this section to "6th gen Camaro SS 1LE/LT 1LE". The LT 1LE guys do post in here...

And please stop moving 1LE specific threads.

Glad I'm not the only one with search issues. It's awful...at times it doesn't even work.

I've volunteered myself a few times (as I have experience and log on daily). They don't seem to want to expand the staff...at least that was my impression at the time.

We have no intentions of ruining this section. It's certainly one of my favorite sections of the forums. We have been discussing what to do with the ZL1-1LE for a bit now. Some of the threads I can understand being moved, but others that really are specific to the 1LE should stay. Things like track pads for 1LE has no business being anywhere else and will end up being less effective to regular owners as well as 1LE owners. Threads related to tire wear (like the one that was just moved) I can understand being in the regular section, especially because it was a thread about a non-oem G3 tire. Yet there are threads that havent been moved that are even less about the 1LE which confuse me, like the dark tails thread. Why has that stayed, but the 1LE track pad thread wasnt? Let's at least be consistent with our moves!

We understand that some can be moved but many others should not be moved. Even thread titles that don't seem 1LE specific are posted in here to be 1LE specific. For example I have seen countless threads on brakes where a non SS 1LE driver gets involved and tells the SS 1LE owner that they MUST replace the brake pads before even considering track days. The problem is the guy is referring to his poor opinion of his non 1LE brakes and advising an SS 1LE owner who has much better brakes than him. The only way this gets caught is if you look at the posters avatar and read that they drive an SS not a SS 1LE. The exact same can happen with people discussing tires/suspension/E-LSD. The SS 1LE are a lot different from other gen 6's and blending all these 1LE threads into the regular gen 6 sections will only dilute what once was good informative threads. People being told the "Stock goodyears are garbage on track" SS goodyear runflats are, SS 1LE goodyear supercar 3's are a great performance tire! Way too much variance in these cars. I could argue the SS 1LE and ZL1 section have more business being combined than throwing a lot of our SS 1LE threads in the main forums.
