Edit to add: To motivate you to get that car buttoned up this weekend Brett. I just did some burnouts and launches. The Whipple is an absolute beast. It's only 60f out but I broke the tires loose at 80. Not just skittering but full on mushroom cloud of smoke behind me.
Did you do headers as well? I reinstalled my foam piece when doing my head and cam work, only because I was under the impression that it has a thin layer of a metal like material and it helps keep leaks from going to the intake, and also helps with heat. The sowing machine sounds these engines make is very pronounced with headers though. I can hear mine through the headers even with the foam installed. The heat soak advantage to the foam was my biggest factor though.

This weather is killing me, rain for 4-5 days??? WTF. So, I been taking care of neglected things (like Buddy) Yesterday was Vet, groom, Pet Smart, and park between rain drops. My garage is just too damp and cold in this weather. Thats why Camaro sits on carpet with fans running 24/7. Today might be a work day.
I can finish up in a day. Your's is moving along nice.

Make sure you get 5 step washers. One will be another ID for bolt (adjuster)
I've Emailed Whipple, shorted me step washers, or they thought one was good enough. NOT, support front and rear of idler. Alway make it Bomb proof.
Also will enlighten them to use softer paper on the manual, so it can be used for something useful.

K&N Blackhawk is NOT a bolt on with the Whipple, I can be used but must mod it.

Beer thirty now, tomorrow is another day. Rob has got his "BLOWER" party going.
I remember the days when I was young..LOL
