M y 02 Z28 LS1 A4 on the Dyno made 307 hp and 316 tq.... (info: 37k miles, k&n intake, maganaflow catback, 342gears, 77degrees)
Car weighed 3493...
My 99 LS1 swapped Camaro put down 323ish if memory serves. I'll have to look for the dyno sheet. I had a stock 155k mile long block, Fast Toys 98mm lid, Chrs 1313 ram air, LS6 intake, ported/polished T/B, OBX catted headers, 3.42 gears, and a Yank SS4000 torque converter. Weighed 2850 without me, and went 11.68@113 N/A stock internal. Bolted on some well used LS6 heads and way old Thunder Racing 224/224 cam and made 353ish on a Mustang dyno. Weighed 2750 then and went 11.19@119. Sprayed a teeny tiny dry hit of nitrous through a Nitrous Outlet Halo dry bar, with about 4lbs left in a 10lb bottle @600psi (wasn't planning on spraying the car that night, didn't even hit it til after the '60) and went 10.62@128. I miss that 'ole turd.

I found the stock internal dyno pic! Wow, I didn't think I'd find this! It's a blast from the past. So 300hp/306tq pre-tune, 323hp/340tq post tune, 423/397 post tune with a NOS 78mm plate kit (full 10lb bottle, 1050psi). I hated that plate kit. It was jetted for 150hp and only made 100hp/57tq!!!

You can hear the engine cut out as soon as I hit the nitrous. Such a crappy nitrous kit.

HD Cooling wouldn't change the amount of heatsoak in the stock intercooler. It would make the engine run cooler. You would still need an aftermarket intercooler.
I will be starting to track the car soon, open days and test n tune nights. Maybe two or three times a month if I'm lucky. When it starts warming up outside I'll be seeing big power drops without some cooling upgrades.

Has anyone added aftermarket intercoolers successfully yet, or did I miss it? As far as I know Mishimoto doesn't a have their aftermarket intercooler out yet, just the piping so far.

Do you guys think it would be worth the wait for Mishimotos' bolt in one to come out or just go custom? Or is there a product out there I haven't come across yet?

Yes it's a stick, pulled in 4th on the first run, 5th on second ( that's where I found the most tq, but less hp), then 3 more in 4th. Every pull less and less powerful with the heatsoak.

That's sick! Any pictures of it?

Cool how these little turbos can make LS1 power so easily now. Now if there was only a way to makes our engines sounds like an LS1..

ZZP has intercooler now available.

Wonder if the piping is worth it though. Anyone tried this out yet?

We are running the ZZP intercooler on the '13 ATS4 w/ turbobay turbo. Haven't had any issues with the intercooler, it does what it is supposed to do.

The car that's being referred to as "their shop car" has it. Dude ran an 11.97. It must work

Here's what my 99 ended up looking like. I've posted a link to a video in this thread, and then from there you can find more videos of that car at the track!

It started off looking like this....

This was the donor car, wrecked 99 Trans Am. The guy said he was driving it in the rain with the cruise control on, hit some standing water at 70mph and spun it around a few times while playing pinball with the retaining walls! Oh, and my SOM WS6 parked across the street!

I really would like to buy a couple other cars I owned back, or another copy of them.

My 2000 NHRA Formula Firebird - this is the car we ran on PINKS!

My 2002 SOM WS6 - was just a totally bad ass color, and was built as well.

beauty! glad to hear!

if it is keeping temps down with a bigger turbo (assuming you have the bigger turbo on) then that speaks volumes

how is the tubo from them? I have spoke with them on the phone, was thinking of buying from them (seems like a good price, I want to keep my core)

I need to work on clarifying my thought process sometimes... if your coolant is running 20-30 degrees cooler than usual (and the coolant is running through an auxiliary radiator), there's less heat overall in the radiator stack to soak into the intercooler. This probably doesn't make a huge difference, but might preserve a few precious ponies. A larger, aftermarket intercooler is of course the best option, but I figured I should explain why I was thinking the HD package would help.

No issues so far. Took them a minute to ship it out, but everything is fine after that. I believe they build them as they're ordered. I don't think they keep stock on hand.
