My first trip to the track with the twins suggests some significant power at low boost. Quite a bit more than I was expecting especially when looking at some calculators. http://www.wallaceracing.com/et-hp-mph-8th.php



Stock at ran 89.6 in the 1/8mile, calc shows 447hp

E85 and some exhaust mods at ran 92.3mph, calc shows 489hp

Now add 3psi with closed exhaust, 100.8mph, calc shows 656hp

Now open exhaust which bumped the boost to 5psi, 104.8mph, calc shows 715hp

This is wg spring only and the smallest spring that came with the waste gate. I like to play with the calculators and always have an expectation when I goto the track what it should run. It is quite a bit faster than I anticipated.

wow GREAT numbers, how are the fuel pressures looking on that last run ?

2900 and 45psi holding steady.

I am not suggesting those hp numbers are correct but they seem pretty close stock and with e85. I am just a little confused with that high of mph.

Oh yeah. I roll raced a hellcat with while at 3psi and I pulled on him. 30-120mph. Also there were a pile of hellcats best I saw was 98mph.

Sounds like you have a great handle on the tune so far. I'd love to see a graph of your power band. I bet its killer down low

I wish I was some kind of master tuner. I spent a lot of time and could not get past some torque mgt issues. I ended up turning it all off and bam it runs great. Dialing in the maf, pe, timing and even the ve(which didn't help) was all easy and fast.

I hope to get some of the tq mgt back on the shifts.

As far as power down low. It's not bad but nothing crazy. It seems like a typical turbo car. I only picked up .1 on my 60' and that was probably all tires. I tried to brake boost it some but just ended up roasting the tires. With some practice I can do a little better I think.

The car feels good and is finally fun to drive but it really doesn't feel fast yet. I am confident it is in the 10's but doesn't feel fast. What does feel fast is modest acceleration. Give it about 40% throttle and it will short shift to 100+mph by the end the of an on ramp.

here is a pic of the log running nearly 105mph in the 1/8th. looking over the log i see i do not hit boost until 10mph and am not at 5psi until i start 2nd gear and am at 40mph. there appears to be a little injector left and fuel pressures are holding.

That's crazy, I figured with the little twins you would have hit it sooner.
Can you bump up the timing down low any ?

Plan is a 50shot off the line.

They are not little. It is 1400+hp worth of turbos.

Anything under 88 is little LOL... remember I'm a big single guy..
50 shot would wake it up big time..
