Interior trunk light missing on 1LE
I am a relatively new owner of a 2017 SS 1LE. I noticed last night when opening the trunk in the dark that there was no interior light. After looking further, I found a 2 wire plug hanging from the trunk ceiling. I measured twelve volts so assuming that this is for a light that was never installed at the factory. Can someone please take a picture of their trunk light so I can confirm the location and then I can turn this in on warranty?

I have a 2SS without one too. I don't even have the wiring though.

So there should be a trunk light in all Camaros, or only 2SS, or? I need to look, I think I only had my trunk open like once lol...

There was a guy in the other thread with a regular 1SS that had one. My dealer told me all of the ones they had on the lot had them and that would include LT trim levels.

Thanks for the feedback on this. Like SS 1LE, I hadn't been using my trunk and hadn't noticed this until now. Pretty disappointing that GM missed something so basice in their production line inspections. Pretty basic check. With several reporting this, I am guessing their assembler took an extra long coffee break and missed a few cars on the line. I checked with the my dealer to see if they could just order the parts under warranty and then I install to avoid scheduling an appointment for a 5 minute repair. No dice...they need to do the service for warranty. Oh well, glad to have found it. For other not finding the wire, mine was tucked up on top of the steel panel. Fish around an you will find the lead.

FYI: my '17 1SS has a trunk light, so I think that's correct that all should come with it.

Same here: Camaro Turbo with European specifications and it has a trunk light as well!
