Borla or Magnaflow

I am about to upgrade my exhaust on 2016 RS, and I don't know what to get. I am leaning towards Borla or Magnaflow. Which one do you guys think? Or is there something else I should consider?

Get on YouTube and listen to sound clips. All major brands will be quality and have similar appearance and hp increases. Deciding from there should be easy

Okay, so I've done a lot of research and listen to a lot of videos... my final two choices are MRT Version 1 or Borla ATAK both Axle back. There is about a $200 dollar difference from MRT to Borla. I like how both sound so is the $200 dollars worth the difference?

Whichever you choose, just know your own tolerance for drone - Borla has zero drone. Most others have some to varying degrees, which if you're sensitive to it, will kill the great sound and the pleasure of driving it.

Borla. You'll get sick of that drone in the MRT

I've had Corsa in the past. Zero drone, great quality and great sound.

YouTube will give a generality, but the reality is, most people are NOT using HD mics to record or listen to em, so there's a level of bass and depth not heard on most youtube vids...especially cell phone vids. The avg mic can't record that low, and most will cut out before you hear the high pitched unwanted sounds.

Truthfully, if possible make an effort to hear things in person. Check for local people. And also make sure the car is in drive with a load on the engine. Many times you'll hear tones not heard at idle, when in drive due to the load on the engine.

Meaning it'll sound "ok" in idle, but in drive when accelerating thru gears it can have a tin sounding buzz, that's not commonly looked at as good. Think cheap and sport compact, if you've been around cars, you know the sound I mean.

Borla vs magnaflow is like Pepsi vs coke. Both quality. Love the s-type which was my own choice but I waited till I heard that vs the attack in person to pull the trigger. Also heard the magnaflow with the 5inch resonators as well. Similarly close as well.

It's one thing to be refined and have some sound with it, and then there's just being loud cause there's a lot of noise....that'll be up to you to find your happy medium.

What did you think of the s type vs the atak? Are they much louder than stock? In the videos they all sound pretty close to stock to me, but I'm not trying to judge them by the videos.

ATAK got my $ - loud, great tone and no drone. The S type is deep, a little less growl, also good.
