Guys . . . and Gals? Wanted to shift this to its own thread as I pitched a get together at COTA of 1LEs soon. There are many COTA events but let's go before it gets too dang hot. PCA registration opens March 30th for a May 19-21 event.

Who is interested? I have a couple of spare bedrooms and will be glad to be the local tour guide!

COTA is one of the priciest tracks in the USA.

I would budget $1k for a Sat/Sun event.

That does not include travel/hotel/gas.

Worth it?

Only you can decide. I have Road Atlanta, VIR and COTA on my bucket list. Being able to drive my car on a F1 track is worth it, to me.

As for COTA fee amount asked on this thread. . . as Matt points out correctly, entry is about $500 per day. Some organizations are a little more and some a little less. Best deal is when there is a Friday-Sunday for about $1k. Its a little steep, but a drug I cannot kick. Instruction readily available for Novices or Beginners. Add a garage stall for you at another $100 per day.

When I compare the fee to the overall costs (car wear and tear plus all consumables), I figure no big deal in the grand scheme of TOTAL $$$. I have gotten to where I try not to think about it . . . cuz the money would boggle my mind!!!

Still a bit hot for my tastes, but I may do it depending on $$$.

HOT, we will need a garage. When it is not blazing, I save the $100. Just let me know what you select and I will put it on my calendar! Also look at Edge Addicts as they have a September 30 & Oct 1 event at COTA. Still hot but should be a little better than August.
