I've been there, I settled for a 2011 2LT with 12,500 miles back in 2012. I did my time and was able to afford my 2016 2SS brand new with 2 miles on the odometer. It's a great feeling and I have no regret what so ever.
I'd love to own a ZL1, but the power the SS has is still unbelievable for a street car and gets decent gas mileage.

Pshaw, I got the 4cyl because of money. I spent too many days worrying about what I didn't get until I realized I actually got my dream car. It's so awesome! So now I just try to think of the power that I DO have and the joy that I get from it

My 2013 1LT was my first Camaro. I thought I had enough information to make the right choice. I wanted all season tires because it was going to be my DD, which meant I had to forego the RS package. After I started networking with other Camaro owners and joined a club, I regretted not having halos and 20" wheels....and hid my "insecurities" behind hideaway headlight covers. Ended up getting a winter beater anyway, which nullified my reasons for settling for a low trim level with few options. Beyond happy with my upgrade in August of 2016. My only regret now is not living in a warmer climate so it doesn't have to hibernate when the temps drop below 40.

I had buyers remorse after I bought my 2015 ls with the V6, it took about six months lol. A year later and with the red tag I couldn't pass up the deal for the 2SS. I only owed 7,000 on the 2015 so that helped with the decision.

I bought the V6 for multiple reasons I dont need a V8 for a 10 min commute, 400+hp to rarely drive past 35mph sitting in traffic, wanted the all season tires and found the extra expenses on gas and insurance unnecessary.... It didnt fit my lifestyle....That being said, I get the V8 itch at least once a week and definitely will get the V8 once the next gen comes out. But right now to take a $5k+ hit on a trade is just financially is not worth it. Just my humble opinion.

I had to giggle about this older thread...I didn't go through all the pages & not sure if it was covered, but seeing you stated in your OP: "kinda wished I got the 2SS" with a ZL1 coming soon like it states under your username??
Man, we won't be able to wipe the smile off your face when that day comes!! ![]() Quote:

I don't "quite" feel regret, but at the price of the "Fifty", it makes me contemplate if I should have picked up a C7 Stingray instead. Then I reflect on the limited cabin interior that my C6 and NSX had and put things into perspective as to why I chose the Camaro.

OP, what you should understand that from birth we are programmed in very subtle ways to be continuous Shoppers/Buyers. As a result we are never truely satisfied with the goods we buy as there may be a point where something "better" is available or introduced. Never mind in our case if what we already have could/should completely satisfy our needs for a fun interesting car.
So do not let yourself have "Buyers Remorse" over a purchase you fully decided to make. It's not easy to fight that, but can you see it never ends? Some T4 buyers will want the V6 or V8 Some V6 buyers will want the V8. Some V8 buyers will want the ZL1. Some ZL1 buyers will want the ZL1/1LE or the new GT500 or the Demon, etc With regards to current Camaro owners: Many of those buyers will want the upgraded SS with the 10 speed and a facelift and new toys. All may want the 7th gen Camaro eventually. But consider this, you already own a Cadillac based car with a great engine making over 300 HP, that handles great stock, and gets great gas milage and is reasonable to insure. In fact Camaros are now considered real "Sports cars" by many journalist. These cars are so good at everything, where we go from here is only small increments of goodness. To me the only thing missing is a car we can see out of, and a usable back seat. So OP reflect on your desires, enjoy the very fun car you already own, and save all that money you would spend on an upgrade and invest it. Then one day you might not have to worry about buying any version of a Camaro. Otherwise we are treading water and in the end left with very little.
