Yeah I normally am very careful about leaning against the car etc but I was really surprised at how little it took to make that rear fender aka quarter panel deform like that so quickly. After it's fixed I will be extremely super careful with it now that I know.

Yeah man that stuff is really think. I already had the windows tinted before I read the "dimples" thread. After I read it, I was pretty concerned. I lucked out I guess.

Enlighten me here. But how could the tinter damage the rear panels causing the "dimples" when tinting the rear window when the tint goes inside? Unless you are referring to when they are laying out the pattern to cut the rear window?

Yeah it's just speculation. I can't be sure these weren't already there when I bought the car or if I did it when I felt them deform a little when I was leaning over cleaning the wheels and had the palm of my hand laying flat on the quarter panel and didn't realize how much pressure I was applying there to hold myself steady. I think it's really more to do with how ultra thin the sheet metal is. Some of the thinnest I've ever seen.
