Deck lid cleaned up, 3rd brake light and emblem removed over the weekend. Had to use some goo gone and just waiting on the Blade Spoiler to arrive so i can drop them both off to the body shop and get this completed. It's been snowing and crappy as my Camaro is in my garage with covers over the trunk till i reinstall the deck lid. Will update after the Blade arrives and before the drop off, Can't wait!!!

Good luck man, I have the 6LE blade spoiler as well and did a light install I guess you can say, I used the bolts and the tape but didn't use any promoter because I plan on taking it off to do some modifications along with my splitter, side skirts, and diffuser. So I'm hoping that not using promoter will prevent me from damaging the paint, however I am nervous because when I removed the stock spoiler on my 5th gen the OEM tape pulled the paint off! Guess I will calculate a deck lid re-spray into my budget lol

Again, good luck and thanks for sharing the process.

I didn't use any promoter at all either and almost impossibly to not ruin the paint on the areas where the spoiler sits. There is no light install as i did the same as you and it was a nightmare as you can see in the pictures before. I just got my Blade Spoiler in today and it has only one line and sides for the 3m tape and its thin. There are enough holes drilled that so much tape was not necessary on the 6LE spoiler, at least not that thick...

check out the rk sport spoiler in fiberglass or carbon fiber (expensive)
really like the nice subtle look of these.

Update!!!!! So i got the Blade Spoiler in today finally and dropped it off to the body shop to be worked on and completed hopefully this week. After talking to the shop owner he advised me that it would be better instead of the 1 left over hole to weld the 5 holes under the new blade that were left over also to be sure no water gets through which totals out to 6 holes. He told me it wont be much more in price, about another $50 maybe on top of the $300. Here is a photo of the Blade Spoiler above the deck lid just to show you what needs to be done on the SS hood before they work on it. There are 2 plastic tabs i circled in red that will be dremeled off as there really aren't necessary due to the fact there will be 7 bolts and 3M tape holding this on. In all reality only "2" bolts are pre-drilled used from the SS stock spoiler and 5 holes need to be drilled using the template they included totaling out to 7. Rest of the pictures are just for show before the work is done. Completed pictures on the next update.... Stay tuned!!!

Very nice!!! Any pics of the ZL1 spoiler on your car? Please share. I was thinking going the ZL1 route if all else would have failed but they welded the holes at my local body shop and pre-fitted the spoiler this past week. Tomorrow they sand and paint. Should have it back in a few days. Been using my other beater car for the time being has not been fun.

Just got my deck lid back today with it completed. I couldn't be more happier for one to have my car back on the road and two the spoiler looks awesome on the car and just the look i was going for for the beginning. Pics are here but car is dirty and haven't had good light to take some better shots. Either way i had 6 holes welded to make sure no water has any chance of coming in and had it sanded, painted and Blade Spoiler installed by the body shop. I reinstalled everything the same way i took it all apart which wasn't bad at all. The 3rd brake light i had to put new cut thin 3M tape on and screw back into place with the brackets it has from the inside which might have been the most work. Total cost was from the body shop was $350. The side blade end pieces went on easy after wiping the area down with alcohol and stuck on extremely tight with just the 3M tape that it comes with, i didn't use any glue or silicone ect. I measured it out and just stuck the suckers down. Thanks again for checking out this thread and any questions i am here to help out.

Just wanted to say it looks great. I love the look of the blade spoiler. Also the 3rd brake lights 4 metal brackets are screwed onto the light before you insert it. Really easy and takes about 2 min. I reinstalled mine the first couple times I messed with it by holding the light and using a long bit to reach up in there and tighten before I realized the brackets go on first and then just pop the light into the slot. Was a pain in the ass doing it the wrong way. Anyway it looks great
