Is it worth it...

To go stock dual mode exhaust or save that money and upgrade with aftermarket exhaust, I'm going to buy a 2017 2ss and wanted to get some advice, thanks in advance!

I got the NPP Dual Mode. It's fairly aggressive in sport mode, especially if you pull the fuse that keeps it from closing at cruise speeds. On top of that, you'd likely do exhaust eventually anyways and it's one of the cheaper options.

Plus it sounds pretty good modded, here's my car with NPP muffler still in place.

imho it depends on your taste op. I had the npp on my car and it was way to quiet. I pulled it off altogether and went with mbrp but I personally prefer loud and there is nothing loud about npp in either mode.

Get the NPP since you cant get it aftermarket(as far as I know). That is the one option I wish I had.

I pretty much agree. The only time I feel like the NPP is loud at all is during startup and then it gets pretty lame.

I didn't get the npp because I knew at one point I would add a aftermarket exhaust and wouldn't care for it to be quiet. I ended up adding the Corsa extreme exhaust and I like its sound better personally. The only thing I wish I had with the non npp is the painted portion but I'll just have mine painted.

Npp is damn near perfect if you pull fuse and tune out v4 mode with headers.

Correct me if I am wrong here, but, how are you saving money by going for an aftermarket exhaust? A good aftermarket exhaust with installation costs usually go over $1000 right? Whereas NPP including the engine sound management feature all together comes for $899.

Saving money by getting the npp and switching later because he wants louder.

Yeah I want a louder exhaust so my thought process was why buy dual mode if I'll later ugrade it, and to see what upgrades are out there that people liked
