I still want to run E something without changing the High Pressure Pump. If I could even run E50 on the stock pump with my Heartbeat that would be awesome.

Do you have any ECM logs showing injector pulse width?

Thanks,
Tim

Nice runs HyperblueSS! I'm glad the E85 and tune are working out for you.

Haven't got the supercharger installed yet. Should have it done on Wednesday.

Thanks for the tuning help! What do you think about E85 and a hundred shot?

Oh lawd, don't get him started on E and the bottle. No one has a chance against that combo. Only a 50lb weight penalty in the back of the car and instant tq. Straight street monster if set up correctly.

Lol I'm just wondering if the stock fuel system will support it while running E85?

Probably not. I looked into this a while back. You will need colder plugs too which will affect how the car runs off the bottle.

Did someone mention nitrous???

Your proposal is exactly what I'm considering doing. I don't expect the stock fuel system to work as is but I do want to see what it will take to get there on E85 and all of the bolt-ons. I will consider it an R&D effort.

I'm running 1 heat range colder than stock right now. A 100 shot may not require another step down.

I've read the Nitrous Express instructions for their LT1 wet kit and they said that you'll need to upgrade the fuel pump to use over a 100 shot. Obviously they are talking about gasoline, so with E85, the fuel demand could be a problem. I'm assuming that you want to hook up to the stock fuel rail rather than install a dedicated fuel supply for the nitrous system here. For a fuel-rail hookup, I'm guessing that the smart thing for an E85 car would be to install the ZL1 in-tank fuel pump. If your fuel supply doesn't keep up with the amount of nitrous being injected, bad stuff can happen.

I have two of them on e85 and nitrous. Used some an adapters to grab fuel from the line and they work beautifully.

Yeah I was just doing some wishful thinking lol...I'll probably end up doing a cam with the +30% lobe to drive the mechanical pump more. Hopefully that'll give me enough headroom for a 50-100 shot while still running E85.
