And coming on the SS or so the birdie says (maybe). That will be fast enough for me with E85 and a tune. Mid 11s easy?

Man a 10 speed auto in a plain SS Yep can't stop progress. I'm sticking to my M6, cause it is the last M6 I'll ever own. I knew it going in (that the M6 is not the street fighting / 1/4 mile trans of choice).

It would be interesting to see what results you'd get with H/C and just delete the cats, vs the catless headers you were talking about. |

Go Nitrous. Best bang for the buck. Can be taken off the car if needed in an afternoon. Only hard on the car when you want it to be. Untraceable if you do it right.
People are scared of nitrous. If you have a great tune, your car will be fine. |

No, but now I'm thinking if I would have did heads I could have had supercharger power from a baby cam, this is unbelievable. I can't wait add e85 and qtp cutouts. Come to find out a big time tuner ed Hutchinson shop is literally across the street from my house and I never knew. He is gonna do my e85 tune in a few weeks after holidays.

supercharged SS on the street with the tires that guys have on the street at an legal or reasonable speed. The best driver with DRs should win and everything else is a driver's race. The cars are getting more powerful but the roads are more congested. Give me a Datsun 510 setup for road racing with twin solex carbs and the traffic of 40 years ago any day. I loosely speculate the hooker short tubes and 4 cat deletes would yield close to the same HP (say 12 HP) as LT and cat deletes just not as broad and as useful of a powerband. I would have done it that way, but feel I need just a little more in 2nd gear from 4700 to 5500 about 65 MPH to 75 MPH, I feel the car lays down slightly maybe because of the MSD. The LT will be better with headers and cam. Actually the rear cats are straight through and sized at 2 and 3/4 in and out (yes I know the neck down in front to 2.5), so maybe there is no / little restriction on the second set of cats. If I did not plan do to heads and cam, a very valid option would be: Hookers ST, all 4 cat delete, crush tube delete, cutouts ported TB and IM green filter and cut air box Tune + E85 Still yielding a nice curve and WAY cheaper. Put it this way car 1 has the above, car two has the above plus LT, MSD, RotoFab. I still think it would be a driver's race. So that is at least $2000 that really is not gonna lead to a blowout. I will note that Lingenfelter does: Tune, cam, heads and green filter. They have a customer base laying down hard cash on the combo.

As far as price, im going off current pricing for the 2016 aggresser version along with wireless kit, turn downs and gaskets. Waiting to see Phastek's pricing and support them with my biz. There are universal kits offered by QTP for less.

If only the wife would want a 10 speed SS or ZL1. But she is thinking more ES350 for grand child car seats. Although she does love banging the gears once in a while. Back to topic. Having added FI to a car just so I have done it once, my opinion is definitely not bang for the buck. It's a whole lotta bang and a whole lotta cash to do it right. I think for a number of reasons you are better off with a ZL1 and you would like your ZL1 more than an FIed SS. I tried both ways. I enjoyed my ZL1 more than my much faster twin turbo 1LE. I had more $$ in the 1LE. So buying a ZL1 is the better bang for the buck option if you want FI IMHO.

Atleast you started with 1LE with basicly a ZL1 DRIVEtrain...The bang for buck posters here dont have any idea how iffy this car gets with FI and / or N2O
