I might just do this!!

So as of right now, I have a 04 gto. I have had this car for quite some time, and love it, but now that this 16ss has come out I am thinking about letting the goat go... Looking at a summit white, or nightfall metallic. Is there any complaints on these camaros that you guys would point out??? Not sure if I should pull the trigger on this or not. Got quoted for 520 full coverage every 6 months, without any of my discounts.

Thats an amazing rate for a financed car. The gen6 will be a big step up from the GOAT in almost every aspect. If you are looking for a 16 you might be hard pressed to find some good deals still after the fire sales they were having the past couple months. I have heard of guys getting sub 33k 1SS recently.

Test drive it if you haven't and then if you can say no then keep the goat. I'm betting you won't say no.

Hey Dr.
Sold my 06 GTO back in September after I drove a buddies 2SS. I loved the goat...it was my baby but... this car is fantastic. Only setback is I now have a payment, and there are some blind spots to get used to, but I'd make that switch again in a heartbeat!!

Former Goat driver myself. Do it. The 16 SS is two generations ahead of the Goat.

Look for NPP (dual exhaust) and Magnetic Ride.

There may still be some deals on the 16s. I got mine for 20% off.

The GTO's had some of the comfiest seats I've ever sat in. I'm still a fan of them, especially the 05-06 models.

That being said the new SS is a great performance vehicle. Of your choices definitely Summit White. If you can afford it and want one, then why ask us?

Agree completely. I came from a 2006 GTO. Great car but you will not look back.

I just saw a silver GTO the other day and they still catch my eye. The difference 10 years and 55HP makes is incredible.

I went from 04 GTO to 08 G8 to 12 SS to 15 SS to 16 SS. Never looked back and never missed my GTO. I see some of the old timers from the LS2gto forum here! Padre (jdemonte over there for me)!

I bought my GTO new back in 2004. I had planned to sell it for a 1LE, but I ended up spending a lot more on a 2017 Stingray

My GTO was modified so the 6th-gen didn't feel any faster, but the handling is light years better (I had full Pedders suspension too).

Well, glad to see negatives about the car! Definitely going to go with a 2ss. It's hard to get rid of the goat as it has been a fun car and reliable at that with mods even. But that ss interior is fantastic and seats are comfy.
