Straight pipe camaro NPP system and remove muffler?
What are the pros and cons of it?
Where in NY can I get it done? How much would it cost? Do I need a tune after? How much would that cost? What's your opinion?

Pros: Subjective... Louder Cons: Louder
No idea, you need a muffler delete with NPP? Sounds counter intuitive? If after cats, no tune is needed If after cats, no tune is needed Too Loud all the time, not for me, you paid 900 bucks for NPP why remove it all together. Get some Borla ATAK w/ npp valves if you are looking for sound. -Or better yet, Electronic cut outs before the rear axle if you want loud for much cheaper. |

My only reason for getting rid of the suitcase is literally to only get rid of the suitcase. I was just wondering what comes with doing so

I looked into this as well op and have npp. With the black friday sales you can do like I did and pick up a cheap catback exhaust for dang good price. I am ditching the npp altogether bc I like loud all the time. It was a waste to me tbh. Went with mbrp race 3" stainless.

npp was worth it to me for the gloss rear insert vs the ugly crap you get with the single tip non npp

I'm trying to incorporate and justify buying these. By the time I get everything to make the conversion, I will be at 650-700 bucks. Hell I would be too close to just getting an axle back..

I am solely interested in removing the muffler for cosmetic reasons and wondering what comes with that.

There are a lot of aftermarket axle back systems that require cutting the exhaust right before the suitcase and keep the NPP function. If you want just straight pipes then you could have an exhaust shop build something. But you will lose the NPP unless you chop that section off and get fancy with some mufflers. Another member on here did it with a pair of flowmaster mufflers.

The Warlock muffler sounds really good. If you welded the factory valve to the straight through circuit, you would still utilize the NPP function. It would be a "mellow " mode as opposed to stealth mode. (6) 45 degree angle stainless steel pipe pieces are needed with these mufflers and they aren't cheap . The only problem I see is the muffler is 3" in/out. Those valves are no larger than 2 3/4".....

I did that and a secondary cat delete and its LOUD. IF anything remove the suitcases for weight purposes and replace it with another dual mode npp system with smaller damn muffs. OR keep the dumpsters on there and get cutouts.

I deleted the stock npp and it sounds amazing. I'm told often that it sounds the way the car should have from the factory.

Did you get an axel back like your post describes or did you just swap out the muffler for 3in straight pipes
