A8 Recall?

Took my car in today for a scheduled recall service (water intrusion recall) and was also informed about a recall coming for the A8. Something about a turbine issue. I may have only heard parts, because I was trying to figure out if they had me for the correct service appointment. Anyway, just wanted to get the word out for everyone. If anyone has anymore info, please add it to the thread. I'd like to know more also.

Took mine in for water leak recall, i was told that they had 3 recalls to do, water leak for the fan module, turbine in the transmission and craked bolt for the suspension

cracked bolt? you mean cracked linkage piece? that's the only suspension tsb I've heard of.

I checked the date code on mine, i'm safe for that "recall".

i'll do my own fan module "fix" .. Not giving the dealer my car for a day to silicone up a power connector.

The A8 thing seems like something I wont be able to avoid going to the dealer for. That sounds like a multi-day downtime fix. And if it's across the board for A8's ...that's a lot of transmission work. Lots.

Will be keeping an eye out for that one.

Would be funny if it was the source of the initial throttle hesitation.

The MyChevrolet app. It's actually quite a decent little app. Does a lot of what the OnStar app can do, and then some.

Yeah I'd like to know too. Being on the corporate side for several decades, I can tell you that dealers really can't sniff out whether there's going to be a recall or not. Manufactures hold them very close to their chest because they know as soon as it gets in the wind that there's going to be a recall, sales go down, dealers start hoarding parts, and doing weird things with their service schedules… So dealers usually hear about it when they file with the government authorities. And I can tell you that the reps that call on the dealership don't know either.

This is the same a8 as the vette, anyone know if they've had any recalls on this so far?
