~ 80% of the Camaros have A8 transmissions. If they all overheated, malfunctioned and shifted slowly then don't you think we would hear about it?

There is a reason the 1LE is M6 only.
There is a reason the ZL1 is getting the A10 instead of the A8.

Go drive them all for yourself, and you will agree with me.
I really like the rev matching of my M6 as well.

Don't listen to the fan boys.
They always have excuses, and then reverse their position as soon as GM does the same.
What is the reason?

A8 > m6. Use your right hand to grope your passenger like God intended.

The M6 will give you a more involving driving experience. I have had cars with the SMG and the DCT trans and never drove them in auto mode. While you still get to shift and not having to clutch is fast and efficient it is just not as rewarding.... For me on the track the double clutch is faster and lets you concentrate more on braking and turn in because the shifts are so easy but on the street a full manual is more fun to drive.

I had a testride with both and ordered an A8. If I want to shift myself I put it to Manual. Here in good old Germany streets are not that straight and ther is much traffic. The A8 shifts so well and so much better than my Mercedes E 250 CGI Convertible Automatic. Try both and think of the streets you want to drive along. Itīs the only thing that matters

The A10 for the ZL1 is just because it has 200 HP more than the SS. The mpg would come down to much to get it sold. Just my 5 ctīs
The A8 is to heavy and to comfy for the 1LE. You also get no leather in the 1LE. Think about why Not sporty enough

This was one of my main reasons for the Auto, but after putting 4K miles on it, my expectations have been blown away!!

I thought I'd heard it in a video from sledgehammer70 that leather was not an option. But shame on me if I'm wrong....

Do you have the links or threads where this has happened? I'd like to read about it and make sure I'm making the right decision. Thanks!!

(I have heard of the C7's having A8 issues as well.)

I'm going for the Manual Transmission ZL1, I like being able to control my gears as if they were an extension of myself, I hear great things about the A10 but my 2 sports cars have been manual and I'm not sure I can give that up....not yet at least, maybe as my knee wears out but untill then I believe stick is the way to go, it's just a lot more fun to me.

All in all its your decision at the end of the day, good luck bro.
