Yes sir, and I would be ok with the M6 in the 1LE. I do not know if it would be my first option or not as I have not driven a new SS with the 8sp (although I will probably rent one from Avis here soon for a weekend to get a better idea), but I do think that the 1LE is just a killer bang-for-your-buck option package. And since there is no MXO option, and I would be down on quite a bit of power compared to a ZL1 then I would of course have to install a nice lopey aggressive cam at some point which is generally easier on the 6sp cars.

If I were to go with the ZL1 though I would rather do the MXO as I do think that the 10sp looks to be a fantastic option. Truth be told by time I have 20-25k saved up for a down payment at the beginning of this next year then I am pretty sure that I will have talked myself into a ZL1 by that point... It will just be a weekend fun toy anyway, so why not?

Everyone who is worried about Navigation: I use Android Auto / Google Navigation with my 1SS. Google Navigation updates all the time and includes traffic info as well as ability to search for nearby businesses.

I don't see any reason to require navigation or stand alone Garmins anymore.

I agree with you...I too was enticed by the value the 1LE offers, and it was an even tricker decision for me because I knew I wanted the MN6 either way. I scoured the web for articles titled "too much horsepower," of which there is no dearth, in an attempt to talk myself out of the ZL1. But, in the end, that failed and I told myself, "you only live once!" which is a running theme on this forum. So if the ZL1 is in your budget...do it!!!

I agree to a point, but:
1. what if phone battery dies? The wireless charger is in the back seat, so not really an option if you need NAV right then and there - maybe you have a charging cord hopefully.
2. what if you lose your phone, phone breaks etc.

I'm just saying while I agree that google maps is great, it may not be a 100% replacement for in car NAV - that said I think it should be dirt cheap at this point and basically an included option like AC and seatbelts.

I do agree that NAV should be standard equipment on any new car with a MyLink or equivalent infotainment system. But I think people are way too dependent on NAV systems. I've never owned a vehicle with a factory NAV system and have survived just fine haha do I use my phone for directions? yes, plenty of times, but once I drive somewhere once I can find my way there 1000 times without trouble. Maybe I'm just old fashioned haha

And depending on where your favorite spaghetti type roads are i.e. some parts of Arkansas, Hill country in South Texas, or in many parts of East Texas, you will not have connectivity as well. While I do agree that Google Navigation normally updates to new road changes much more quickly, and that trying to find something is also much easier, there are just times when I need to have factory nav and its built in database.

It is also just a $500 option now as compared to 5 years ago when it was commonly a $1000+ option. This is actually one of my bigger hang ups with the 1LE as it does not appear to be an option at this point...

I agree. The rep/dealer has no idea what they're taking about.

Yeah, I brought the print book with me into the dealership, so they know I know what I'm talking about in terms of order code numbers, etc, etc....

If they option it like they do on the vette, you cannot get Nav by itself, if you upgrade to Nav you upgrade to PDR at $1795. i'm fairly sure anyway.

You might be correct, I was just going off of the price to get the nav in a 2ss. I will say that if it is offered on the 1LE and that is what I decide on then I will opt to have it. I guess we just have to wait and see at this point!

PDR price

PDR did not require me to order NAV. PDR was $1300 (a must for me) & NAV was an additional $500...which I did not opt for, google maps works great for me. Was 1st in line at a local dealer only to find out that they were going to get 0 allocation! An afternoon of scrambling ended with an accepted order in the 4th of 4 spots at the largest dealer in the state. Can't wait for my Hyper Blue 6M to arrive!

May want to double check all that.

In every GM vehicle that has offered PDR...Nav was also required. I imagine the GPS signal that is integrated into the Nav unit is required hardware. If I am wrong, then that's great!!! But so far, in the Corvette, and the CTS-V...PDR required Nav...
