What diff gear oil to use

Chevy changed the spec for the rear diff as pointed out here:

http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=454487

Instead of calling for fluid only (88862624) it now calls for a different fluid (88900401) and limited slip additive.

However when I go to my.chevroloet.com and bring up the manual they have linked to my car, it still shows the first printing which calls for just the fluid.

Is the new printing applicable to all 2016 SS' or are there different specs for different build lots? I've had the groan when cold (still do) and am due to change the diff oil after taking it to track night. Should we be using the original spec or go with the spec in printing 2 of the manual?

I have no clue but I have the first printing. My car was made in November. It was making the groaning sound when turning at low speeds so I changed the fluid with 88862624 like the manual showed and it's been silent ever since. I did have to do a few figure 8s to get it all worked in but it's working great. I imagine either one will work fine for you as they appear to be the same thing, you just add the limited slip additive separately with one.

Thanks! I just canceled my order and changed back to the original spec linked in my owner's manual as you were advised.
