Give it another year or so when there are another 50k new Camaros on the road. Some percentage of those will drive in hot humid conditions GM will get enough complaints regarding this issue to actually do something about it. I reported it on my GM quality survey.
Unfortunately, I think the fix will require a better sealing HVAC diverter or something added at the defrost vent in order to fix it. For existing owners this would require ripping the whole dash apart...

I just want to be clear one last time. I agree that this is a problem. What I'm trying to point out is that you should take care of yourself. GM isn't going to fix this problem until they have numbers to support.
Here is an analogy or 2: If you see that your house is on fire are you going to wait for the neighbor to call the fire department or are you going to call them yourself? What some of you guys are saying is like crossing the street when the little cross walk light says go and then halfway across it says stop. Are you going to stop I the middle of the road and get hit by a car, no! I have seen multiple temporary solutions, notice that I said temporary, that will work until GM fixes it and I'm sure they will fix it. Take action for your own safety. I've heard social media (i.e. Twitter, Facebook) are much more likely to catch attention and accomplish an acknowledgment from GM. Perhaps someone should start a Twitter feed and everyone here who has the issue post to it. My car definitely does it but also not to the point others apparently have. But regardless if the top vent is not closing correctly, it's a defect. And GM needs to acknowledge it, period.

I hold all E7-E9's accountable for their people's development and frequently hold meetings with junior enlisted to assess morale, then meet with the E7-E9's and give them direction as to how I think they are performing & what I want to see them do to improve themselves, and their departments in the process. The solution that I implemented (as indicated in a previous post) is to not lower the temp so much in the mornings & use my wipers when the windshield fogs up. But I still expect GM to address the issue. |

Isn't if funny how I figured out you were an officer by how you acted. Yep, typical quitter. Based on the above statements, good luck getting any higher than O-4. Sorry folks. I apologize for this. |

I don't have this issue and blast the hell out of this thing in 95 degree weather... wondering why it isn't happening to me? Lack of humidity outside?

Yes, you need humidity to really cause this.

god I feel for you guys then. Living in southern AL for 20 years this would have made me return the car. What is the deal here I wonder, and will GM do anything about it for existing customers
