My 8-speed auto 2SS seemed to hit a governor at 172mph indicated on a private road.

50th Anniversary
I got my 50 to hit 162 with which seemed to be a ton of power leftover. Adrenaline was through the roof! The smoothness of the car at those speeds are impeccable! I think it really takes off after 5th gear! Words can't explain how powerful this car is. I really have to stay disciplined.

The SS has a top speed limiter in the ECM which is set to 180 from the factory.
