Door Panel Removal 1SS Speakers

First off, would just dropping in a set of 6x9s in the doors give the stereo system a boost at all? I've got a pair of infinitys sitting around at home and have no idea if the stock 1SS non-Bose speakers can be replaced as easily as many other cars.

Secondly, anyone know if theres a guide, video, walk-through or anything for removing the door panels? If not, I might just go in blind and start prying and pulling out screws.

I left the door speakers alone and installed 6x9's in the rear deck + 300 watt Memphis amp. It does sound awesome and provides enough bass to satisfy my ears. Its not your regular old 1ss anymore and sounds probably as good as the 2ss or better I would say.

What speakers did you use? How did you go about hooking it all up? Just like the others using the speaker output from the amp.?
