Thats because there is NO NEWS.

There was an SAE dinner in detroit about a month ago and they discussed the 2016 Camaro, engineering, design etc. When asked about the ZL1 they said wait till next fall for more info.........

Does anyone know where they do their 1/4 testing? Maybe they take over the strip and nobody sees.

Spy videos from the 'ring exist because it can't be closed off from the viewing public, there is a set time when OEMs go there each year, and there is no other place in the world that can provide automakers with as much data about suspension performance as it does. So both professional spy video/photographers and regular enthusiasts know when and where to be.

Meanwhile, GM can probably do all their drag testing from within the convenience and security of their own proving grounds. Testing there is essentially free, uninterrupted, and almost completely hidden from prying camera lenses.

Even if they can't do everything there, it wouldn't be that hard for GM to find some small isolated drag strip, book it for a couple days & get the owner (and possibly only employee) to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Pretty easy to keep things hidden that way.
